About the Artist

I have always been passionate about art. For years, I honed my technique through expressive renderings of the world around me in chalk pastels, charcoal, pencils and acrylic paint. I would find myself painting and painting for hours on whatever subject caught my eye. In my 20’s I moved to Buenos Aires, Argentina and took up painting courses with contemporary artist, Bea Diez. It was here where my love with oil painting began. I returned to Ottawa in 2009 and have taken numerous courses at the Ottawa School of Art (OSA) and several independent workshops with some very well-known Canadian and International painters such as Tim Packer, Robert Moore, Linda Kemp, Dominik Modilinski, Jed Dorsey, Hester Berry and Kim Vander Hoek.

After a 10-year pause to focus on obtaining a designation in Real Estate Appraisal (AACI, P.App), I finally returned to the canvas in 2020. Today, my work is constantly changing between impressionism and representational art. I also use mark-making tools that are fun to me which includes palette knives, wedges, scrapers, graphite, etc.
